Wednesday was cold and gray but Gia's bright red tutu dress helped to brighten the afternoon! I took this family literally drudging through the dirt and mud to take their portraits at a spot with some rustic backdrops. Lulu was wanting something a little different than the average editing so I cranked up the contrast and played around with color on some of the shots. Can't wait for her to see them all and choose a couple for me to play around with a little more! Creative photoshop = FUN!!!

Cooper and Jackson 18 Months

Doesn't get more fun than toddlers throwing dirt clods, checking out the livestock, and playing in a big tractor. Cooper and Jackson are twins and have unique personalities. I had so much fun capturing their personalities on our morning in the country. Total boys, they loved throwing rocks, swinging sticks (sometimes at brother's head) and making the best monster and truck noises. If you look closely at one of Jackson's images, you can see the slobber dripping out as a result of said noises! Awesome!!!

This beautiful bride is the model in the famous "girl standing on a horse" shot from this summer. She and Jake were married at the San Miguel Mission. I had never been there before and I was overjoyed when I saw what photographer eye candy it was! How did I get so lucky to be able to photograph the gorgeous Tracy Anne and the cute cowboy, Jake and have such a wonderful backdrop as well? The details of the day, the couple, the weather, the venue....could not have asked for more....

This little girl not only has stolen the hearts of her mommy, daddy, and two big brothers...she steals the heart of anybody with whom she smiles!!! I know every time I've been around her she brightens my day! Such a sweet personality! Very easy to love!

Very nice family! Baby number 3 is coming this week!! And Mommy looks fabulous!!! Big sister is in my daughter's class and they both cheered at Jr. cheer night at the High School. Little brother is full of personality, and the two of them will be welcoming a baby sister this week. Here's my favorite part...I get the honor of being baby sister's first photographer! I can't wait!!!

Andrea has been bringing her girls to have me photograph them for a long time! A print of herself and baby Marlee won a ribbon for me at the Tulare County Fair. Every session I have had with them has been very relaxed and easy. I love the way she allows her girls' personalities to shine during the session! This was a Sunday morning session and the girls did not disappoint! Very pretty girls! Very nice looking Mommy and Daddy! Fun day!

One of my favorite things to do is photograph newborn babies! This little girl is very special! She has 3 big brothers to protect her and, on occasion, toughen her up. I have to say, she was a real trouper throughout the photo session until the very end when she, quite clearly, let us know the session was over! For me, it was like playing with a doll, moving her little arms and legs and posing her. Sweet, sweet!!!

The Ward Wedding

Nicole and David were married at the Fresno County Sportsman Club and what a beautiful venue it was! The ceremony was outside next to the river at sunset. Perfect! The reception was held inside the hall and was decorated with an autumn theme. It was the perfect backdrop for this couple who are true country people who love the outdoors. Two very loving families came together that day to celebrate their wedding and fun was had by all, including the children who warmed up the dance floor for the rest of the crowd. It truly was a happy, happy celebration!

Jr. Cheerleaders

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her turn to be cheerleader for the CVC Caverliers! The girls went to a learning clinic on a Saturday morning, the week before the game on Friday and learned some cheers and a cute dance. They performed the halftime show and then cheered for the Varsity team during the 3rd quarter. A perfect activity for a couple hundred screaming elementary school girls.

It's hard to believe that little newborn I photographed in the crochet cocoon is already 6 months old! We had a fun afternoon playing in the alfalfa field and next to his daddy's tractor. He was a trouper throughout the photo session and was very pleasant but when his papo showed up, he was all smiles from ear to ear! He's Papo's boy!

The Johnson boys are about to become big brothers! The family came out with me on a Sunday "adventure" to photograph mommy's baby bump along with the whole family. Aside from the feeling that one or all of the boys were going to end up in the canal, the morning went splendidly!! The temperature cooled down just a little enough to make it pleasant. The big hit of the day was throwing dirt clods into the canal. Lots and lots of dirt clods...

Private Freitas

Myles Freitas was home on leave for a visit with his family. There was a bbq with lots of visiting, swimming, wheelchair paintball (don't ask) and lots of laughter. Everybody was happy to have him home!

My nephew, John, and his wife, Victoria were very brave souls. They took family pictures on a very hot Sunday afternoon in September. Along with Makyden and Hansen, they all were troupers, though. The most fun part of the day was keeping the kids at our house after the session while Mom and Dad went to a wedding. I forgot what it was like having a little baby in the house. I also forgot what it was like not to get to sit down and who actually is the boss when a 5 month old is in the house (the 5 month old for sure!)

All I can say is FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Ashley and Paul Orosco's wedding was in Nipomo on the last weekend of July. The weather could not have been more perfect! The bride and groom were relaxed and ready. The venue was beautiful! And I had the pleasure of capturing that day for them with my camera!

From the beginning of the day to the end, the wedding went like clockwork and was a joy to attend! I will always remember Ashley's father and his toast to the bride and groom. He was so witty and clever yet when he was done I had joined the rest of the guests in shedding a joyful tear.

Paul was such a sweet, attentive groom and you could tell how much he is in love with Ashley. From the bride and groom, the entire wedding party, the families and the guests I could not have asked for a more enjoyable group to photograph! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

I had to take my daughter on a photo shoot with me today. She is friends with the two boys being photographed and I told her to stay back and be calm; not to get them too riled up. She just can't stay out of the way of the camera lens, so I snapped a few of her. She is such a goofball! Then I got a couple of her and her friend. Sooo cute!

Loved this Sunday morning! Ashley and Paul were a ton of fun to hang out with and photograph! I used to teach with Ashley's mother out at Sundale. Ashley was just a wee one when I met her. She was also on my basketball team during middle school. Very sweet girl! And it seems as though she's found a sweetie of her own. Paul was very accommodating to me during this shoot and very sweet to Ashley.

I had the privilege to photography my good friend, Kerry's kids the other day. We made our way through downtown, stopping to grab a couple of shots here-and-there. The most fun was the train that rolled by as we were using its tracks for a backdrop. The challenging part was keeping them all far enough away from the train to keep mommy and photographer from having a heart attack!!

I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with my good friend, Kathy's children. Kathy and her husband, Doug, have adopted three beautiful children. The first two are handsome boys, Luke and Levi. Just recently they have added a little bit of pink to the household! Here is just a little of the fun we had. Only a sneak peak of the little girl in pink but, believe me, there will be more images to come! She is ADORABLE!!

Jessica and I went out to the Tulare High School Farm and got some great shots of her while the rest of the world was watching the Superbowl. It was so peaceful out there that day and she was super easy to work with. Great smile every time!

Morgan Parker

I can't believe how quickly children grow up! Morgan was just a wee little one at Sundale when I was teaching out there. Her sister, Dani, was in my 3rd grade class one year and was, for the most part, my right hand. Morgan and I spent the better part of an afternoon out in the country playing with some new additions to the equipment shelf here at Aimee Sa Photography; new camera AND new lens! She was also a trooper when I asked her to climb through a weeded area in her very tall sandals!

Our nephew, John, and his wife, Victoria have welcomed a new baby boy to the family. His name is Hansen. My daughter, who doesn't always hear the correct pronunciation of things, calls him "Handsome," which he IS!! After processing Hansen's proofs, I played around a little in photoshop and here is the result. Handsome Hansen, a new spring blossom!
